Leigh Life ("we", "us") is a free online game set in Leigh-on-Sea. By using leighlife.co.uk you agree to these terms.

Who can have an account

You can create your own account if you are 13 or over. If you are 13 to 17 you play in the Teens league with extra protections (you never show a road, and you can only use quick-chat phrases and emotes, and you can only be friends with other teens or with grown-ups in your family). Children under 13 play on a profile that a parent or guardian adds to their own account; the parent is responsible for how it is used and sets time limits and a PIN.

Playing nicely

Be kind. Don't pick names that are rude, hateful, impersonate someone, or share contact details. Don't follow, crowd or bother other players, and don't try to break, overload or cheat the game. We can change your name, remove you from the game, or close your account if you break these rules. Use the in-game report button if someone makes you uncomfortable.

Real places and businesses

The game shows real shops and places on the Broadway and Leigh Road, drawn in a friendly, neutral way. Shop details such as opening hours come from public sources and may be out of date. Nothing in the game is an endorsement by, or of, any business. If you own a business shown in the game and want something corrected or removed, email us and we'll act quickly.

Reports you send

When you report a mistake on the map, you let us use what you wrote to fix the game.

In-game coins

Coins and items in the game have no real-world value, can't be bought or sold, and may be reset.

The service

The game is provided as it is, and it may change, pause or stop. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the change is significant we'll tell you in the game.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
